  • Fret buzz?

Hey guys, I need your help once again...

I've got a pretty bad fretbuzz on the Wolfgang I recently bought, but it's only on the 5th fret, low e-string, and nowhere else on the fretboard..
Any quick fixes for this or am I looking at big bucks here?

Sounds like the 6th fret has probably lifted a bit and causing the 5th to buzz.
Use a straight edge to ID the high fret and gently tap it down with a rubber or plastic mallet. DO NOT USE A METAL HAMMER.
If you have to use a hammer, put a block of wood over the fret first.
    Pretty easy fix.

I haven't got into the whole fret fixing thing, but I can assure you it's not a big deal. If it's only on one string, and your happy with how it plays, try to polish the fret that it's buzzing on (I assume the 6th) down a bit.

Excuse my ignorance, but a mallet is the same as a hammer, right?
