The switch turns the boost effect on & off. I think the circuit is always active to some extent and is turned on & off when you plug into the jack. Here's the full rundown from the electronics catalog:

The JE1500 active wah circuit comes mostly in Fusions and has an on-off switch. The tone pot is special as well, letting it work like a normal tone with the switch off, but controlling the mid pass frequency when turned on.

Is there anyone making/reselling/reissueing these? I have a guitar in mind that I want to drop one of these in.

Great for punchy distortion sound, but what i'm wondering is, does it HAVE to be inside the guitar? Just put a wah or EQ or anything that boosts the mids between the git and your other fx/amps and you can get a very similar effect.

Even a simple low-cut with capacitors and a coil would work nice, since too much bass into the distortion == more muddiness.

I found this the other day (the BCU pot), as I myself require a JE1500 for my 'Fusion Pro' (It's pull instead of using the mini toggle though).
Looks like it may be similar, but I am not 100% sure?

Has anybody else seen or used one that can give an opinion if they are worth purchasing?

Though I may get one to try anyway, as for £17.00 it is not too much of a loss if it doesn't work out.
