Need a little help,

I got a Jackson DKMG Arch top with three holes for the knobs.
Should I put in 1 Volume and 2 tone or go with 1 Volume and 1 tone and a switch in the middle? thats what the guitar had when it was new, I'm running EMG 81's and I'm not sure if I can put in a boost or not?

any one have any ideas?

You can use the boost with the actives if you want.

As for whether to do 1 vol, 2 tone, or 2 vol, 1 tone, that is entirely up to you. The only distinction between these two control setups will come when you have both pickups selected. In this situation, do you like to have control over the volume, or the tone of each individual pickup? I rarely select more than one pickup at a time and so I don't have a strong preference.
