but i cant figure out what type/model it is. the logo is silver or grey(its old) and on the bottom it say emg-H. my 89 says emg-89 and my 91 says emg-91 so what the heck is an emg-H?!

An EMG-H is a singlecoil in a humbucker housing. It has a grey logo to distinguish it from other EMG pickup models.

...or maybe the "Z" got erased?

Described as a "noiseless single coil pickup" - that would be 2 coils except one of them has no magnets, right? (hum-canceling, + signal from one coil)

          What's a 91? I think you mean 81.

And, yes, the H is a single coil in humbucker housing. It is a very old model that's still around. That's what Kirk Hammett uses as the neck pickup in his '85 custom black Rhoads (with an 81 in the bridge).
