  • Sustainiac + mini-hum in neck humbucker position?

I read that those active sustainers (sustainiac & others) don't work too well in the middle pup position, they need to be at the neck.

So i was wondering, what if you have a guitar with a regular humbucker cavity at the neck, and manage to fit a mini-humbucker and a sustainer in there, it should (theoretically) kick ass.

    ... anyone tried this?

The truth will seem utterly preposterous, and its speaker, a raving lunatic."

It can be done. The Sustainiac comes with a little square tab that you're supposed to stick between them to keep the driver from doing "something" to your pickup, though. Not sure what that "something" is - I think it's a field isolator.
