dirty volume pot

hi.
my usa kelly`s volume pot is really noisy.
it`s time to change it.
the guitar is loaded with stock seymour duncan jb, jazz pickups.
which pots do i need to buy?

IIRC there are two types as well, audio and linear. I usually use audio for my volume pots. Unless I've been a spaz and have been using them the wrong way around...

I'd try electronics cleaner from a spray can before I changed any parts. If it didn't clear up the problem then the spray will have multiple uses down the road.

i have tried the spray about 3 times.
it worked fairly well the 1st, then it was no use.
i wished it still worked as i don`t like dealing with guitars` setup ans stuff like that.
i mean, it`s easy, i`ve done it other times, installed pick ups too, and pretty much have the "know how".
i just like playing.
anywhere in europe ( uk possibly where to find a pot )?
tried on ebay, no luck.

Most guitar shops should carry spares like this.

Check on the front of the pot, A500k is audio (logarithming) and B500 is linear. Which one == matter of preference, really.

i have checked the dirty volume pot.
on the top of it i can read : EP 886 500K 0011
i don`t understand if it`s an A type or B ?
any thoughts ?

99.99% likely it's A (audio taper)
