  • Problem with action on My Warrior

After many adjustments to my Warrior, I still can't seem to get rid of the fret buzz from the lower (1-5 area) frets. I can even get the action too high on the higher frets, but there is still some buzz towards the headstock. Does this sound like I need to adjust the truss rod?

Sounds like you need to either loosen the truss rod a tiny bit or maybe put a shim under the nut.

Maybe. I would try to loosening it a bit. But not too much.

btw what's the ideal thing to use as a shim for the nut?

you can buy premade shims or use any thin stock sheet metal. some people use the paper from packs of strings, or even tin foil. you probably don't need anything over a few thousanths of an inch.
