Fretting out, what do I do?

the higher end of my fret board is like fretting out? dead spots? Someone told me to twist the rod? Which way?! HELP!!! -its a peavey milestone bass-

Try and raise the bridge a little and see if that helps. Have you read the sticky in this forum about fret buzz? The link points to this article:

edit: oh i forgot about the truss rod - if the problem is buzz at the higher frets like from 12 and up (22?) truss rod adjustment won't help you i think.
