  • Yup you guessed it.. *bleeping* tuning

I did a search and didn't find anything.
    OMFG!!!!!! Holy shit batman.. I don't remember having such a hard time with tuning a FR... This is worse than adjusting aircraft cable tensions. .. I restrung my guitar tuned everything to pitch and results were E(B) - A(G) - D(C) - G(F) - B(Bb) - E (pitch) ---- so I tuned E(A) - A(B) - D(E) - G (A) - B(C) - E (pitch) and still no luck E was still pitch to B... I followed the instructions at FR.. Any other tips..

You gotta get those strings stretched out first.
Tune it close to pitch as you can, lock it down and have fun with the bar for a few minutes.
Then undo the locks and retune.
Use the tuning keys first, use the fine tuners after you lock it down.

Tuning a Floyd takes getting used too.
Once your good at it, you can have one tuned perfectly in less than 5 minutes.

It's easy, once you get the hang of it...

Like Rick said, you NEED to stretch your strings fully before you can tune any guitar and have it stay in tune...
      I'm angry because you're stupid

I use the one string at a time method..I think that for morons like me I guess..but it makes it easy, though a bit time consuming.

I've never had to adjust the springs unless I was drop tuning ( I have stop Tail pieces for that) or changing string guage (then I book out a couple hours at least)

good luck go slow, if all ealse fails take it to a good shop.

            I won!!!!

Well I didn't purchase this guitar new so I'm inherited other peoples settings. I made all the proper settings to the bridge and now I'm in tune.. I'm about 1/16" of an inch not being flush but hey it's close enough for my liking.

Yup...one string at a time, also make sure you are pulling the string and stretching it before you go on to the next one. If you find that the whole thing went out after one string, it still needs more stretching.
