Say you have 2 Fender necks, both 25.5" scale but one has 21 frets and the other has 22 frets. They're interchangeable, correct? Would there be any intonation problems?

I believe they are interchangeable, because the actual length of the neck doesn't change. The fretboard is longer, so the 22nd fret is effectively sitting on an extension. I think....Hail yesterday -
They are interchangeable.
The only difference is the fretboard length. 22 fret necks have a tad extra hanging off the end.-RickComment

You can swap those necks without any issues.Comment

When in doubt, check the distance from the nut to the 12th fret,
then the saddle to the same. They need to be the same, at least
within the range of length adjustment on the saddles.
Without a measure, feather a harmonic at 12th on any string and listen for
tone difference to the pressed note.Comment
