    Jackson people out there.

I haven't owned a FR guitar in a long time. I pretty sure that these locking nuts do not go with this guitar... What do you think? I also think the spacing isn't the same either. After another thread.. I know that the neck isn't original to this guitar..

Locking nuts are universal, and should fit any six string guitar with a floyd nut.

OFR and licensed trems have different nut heights.

What do you mean? I have an OFR nut on my Charvel with a JT580 Takuechi (sp?) Licensed trem and it works fine. And this is about the locking clamp, not the nut. (assuming as his is missing the the clamps/string locks pictures he has of it).

I asked this question about a year ago. I never got an answer about the different nut heights.
          Just one more guitar!

Yes floyd nuts come in different heights. The string clamps in the pics are normal for a USA Jackson circa 1980s.My 87 has them, my 88 has the wider clamps.
            Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Even though the clamps aren't sitting level on the string? Right now as the clamps sit the forward (towards the headstock) they aren't sitting flush, they are at an angle.

The clamps have a contoured bottom that matches the contour of the nut.
Looks like they are either installed sideways or they are not meant for that nut.

Looks like the clamps are too big to fit down in correctly, so they are hanging up on the back edge of the nut. Either that, or they are just badly cocked. If you take the screw all the way out of one, can you get it to sit flat in there? If not, you definitely have the wrong clamps for that nut.

My clamps are 11.56 MM while the nut 11.40.....

These fine adjustment tuners are they worth a shit?

There are differant sized pressure pads for Floyd nuts. I've encountered this many a time with finidng the right sized ones at work. To replace the ones somebody stole off a guitar cus they couldnt pay 5 bucks for a new set. Anyway Yeah get new pressure pads or a whole new nut and all shold be good. BTW bring the guitar with you or at least the nut to get the right size pads. Or you'll be back to square one.

Just use a file or a dremel or something and grind the locking pads down to size...they are supposed to go all the way down to put a firm pressure on the strings.
And btw, they are positioned in the correct direction on the photos.
