I recently bought a KVX10 and have learned to absolutely HATE the jack location on the guitar. I had issues with the neck-side strap jack too, but since I drilled a hole through the neck plate and mounted it there... no more balance issues. But I digress...
I guess I could get angled plug cables but I'd rather see if I can convert the current jackplate to a strat-style recessed plate (just like on the more expensive KVs, but this will be on the lower wing obviously). I think it would help considerably and look pretty good too. Anyone tried this? I'm no genius when it comes to woodworking but it seems like it might be easy enough for me to do? Anyone have any pointers? Are there templates out there for this?
