Hi, I got problem with my floyd (?) or with tension of springs (on the back of bridge). I put in my guitar strings 10-52 and there's no way that I will get it into D tuning (D,G,C,F,A,D). First there were 4 original springs and I tune it do B only, now I got tighter springs and only tuning is C (I know about different positions of springs and those 2 bolts which can be spun). I dont know whats wrong? Any ideas?

Tried tightening the screws for the spring claw? 010-052 should be no problem for D. I've been using 011-054 in that tuning. -

How old are the springs? They lose their strength over time, so it may be time to go buy some new ones. Any guitar store should carry them.
I have three springs on mine (10-46) and tune to E no problem.ScottComment

If the bridge needs to come down more even after turning the screws for the springs just buy another spring and add it on . that will give you more tension on the bridge and should bring it downComment
