  • Switching from actives to passives

Im getting new dimarzios installed tomorrow on my dk-1 (w/emg's stock) and im just curious if switching from active electronics to passives is an involved process or is it the same as other pickup installations and such?

You have to replace the pots to 500k and ground it out to the trem claw. How good are you with soldering?

You can solder a wire from the back of one of the pots though to the trem claw. Follow this or any other diagram and you should be golden. Shout back if you need any help.
