  • Wiring help needed

I opened up my new Larrivee and noticed that there are two loose wires in the control cavity. They both go to the input jack but I have no idea where the loose ends should be connected (I have no knowledge about wiring).
    Here is a pic

The brown and blue wires are loose.

Also, the previous owner shielded it with aluminum kitchen foil. Does that actually work or should I do it properly myself? The control cavity doesn't bother me but the foil sticking out by the two single coils looks like crap and I'd really like to improve on that.

    thats ghetto wiring for sure
but it looks like the original wiring is still intact
look thru here and find your setup and check everything

as far as the sheilding tin foil wont work good but sheet aluminum will
at least a little. but nothing beats copper

Is the jack a stereo jack? The red is hot coming off the jack and the black is ground the brown and blue wires I don't have a clue just un-solder them if the guitar otherwise functions OK without them.It does have an old orange drop cap.
      Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I actually have no idea if it's a stereo jack or not. I don't even know what that is. I'm ignorant when it comes to these things. I just play.
But I'm looking to learn more so I can do repairs/mods/whatever (perhaps turn a guitar into a rocket or small armoured vehicle...like McGyver)
