  • F-spacing

Okay, im going to order the pickups for my dk-1, but im confused about the f-spacing issues. Its got a floyd on it, so does that mean that i only need the pickup at the bridge to be f-spaced or do i need both the pickups to be? Thanks

    Re: F-spacing

Go to DiMarzio's website and then click on
"Support". You'll then find a series of tech articles, the first of which is called "F-spacing, standard spacing". I think this will help to answer your questions.

In a nutshell, DiMarzio recommends f-spacing for the bridge position in trem guitars (and recommends to just get an F-spaced humbucker if you are unsure) and that an F-spaced pickup is recommended for the neck position if the nut width is 1-11/16" or more.

Takeoffs are optional but landings are mandatory.
