  • SD Blackout + PA-2=Good??

Hey there new to the JCF Forum without a doubt one of the best I've ever seen. Okay so I'm getting a custom KV sometime in the future with just one single pickup, a Seymour Duncan Blackout and was debating on wether or not I should get a PA-2 installed because I hear how great the PA2 is with EMGs so wouldnt it be just as good with the Blackout?

    Thanks,
    Sean

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure it will be fine; it works with both active and passive pickups. Though, the Blackout is fairly new, so the Duncan Forum might be able to help you out more.

How does the PA-2 sound when mixed with EMGs? like an 85?

I think I have the afterburner which is basically the PA2 but you have a pot to dial in the amount of boost you want to get.

I have it installed with my X2N and the sucker really kicks it in, especially on the clean channel. On the gain channel, I have to dial it to maybe a 7 otherwise the sound gets to LOUD.
