Just bought a body on ebay...

I bought it because it has 2 humbuckers slots and is string through.

I don't know exactly what I want to do with it. I am either going to leave it as a tobacco sunburst, or have it stripped and painted in trans black cherry.

I want to put a maple neck on it, but I am unsure how that will look on a black cherry body.

I also don't know what kind of pups I want to put in it, but I know I want it to scream.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I like the Black Cherry paint, Id have matching headstock though and gold truss rod cover.

My only issue with painting the headstock to match is that I want to keep the Jackson logo, as it is a Jackson body.

I was even thinking about having a Jackson neck made with a flame top or quilt top maple fingerboard. I don't know if I can buy just a custom neck from the CS, but I would consider it if possible.

why dont you just buy a decal of the jackson logo so you strip and paint a jackson neck?

I agree. Black hardware, black pickups (Duncans or DiMarzios) and a 24 neck with sharkies and a rosewood fingerboard would look killer!

I would just slap on the hardware and pickups and keep it as is.....unless you can't decide what to do with it, then you can contact me to take it off your hands.

Black cherry with a maple neck for sure. You can buy a jackson decal for the headstock. If you want a dk2m neck, look here...

Okay, so I am having trouble finding a maple neck that isn't cut for a locking nut. Anybody have any ideas on where I can buy one, or have one made?

I would prefer to have a neck like the one that is on the DK2M, but like I said, those are cut for the locking nut.
