I've been thinking about switching out the bridge pickup on my '88 le, the j50bc just sounds a little muddy to me. I was about to order a Fred and thought I'd read through the forums to see if there were any posts about how it sounded in Jacksons. When reading through some of the older posts about pickups, someone mentioned removing the pickup cover on the j90. Would that make much difference with the j50bc? If not, what pickups would you suggest replacing that with? I play mostly classic rock and 80's metal.
