• Tilt adjustments

So I need to do a tilt adjustment on my project Strat which has a tilt-adjust screw. I've never needed to do one before.

Do I need to destring first?

Do I need to loosen all 4 neck screws first?

Tilt adjustment? What type of neck is on your project? Actually....what body is it?

It's a Fender neck and a Fender body. The neck has the tilt plate and the neck pocket has the tilt adjustment screw.

Loosen the strings a bit, then loosen the neck bolts very slightly (maybe a quarter to a half turn each) if you need the headstock tilted back, tighten the screw (very little) if you need the headstock tilted forward, losen the screw. Then retighten the neck bolts and tune up.

I thought it might have been a Peavey or something.I only do that adjustment to lower my string height.

Eta... that's pretty much what I thought. Thanks.
