Possible to flatten a warped pickguard?

Guys,

The pickguard on my Model 1A is warped - some parts of it are lifting off the guitar body.

Any trick to flattening it? Or just buy another guard?

Hi first of all take the pickguard and all the fittings of it and place it in a dish of quite hot water till it is fully immersed and leave for about 2-3 mins. Then be careful if you have the water quite hot not to burn your hands remove the pickguard and gently bend it in the opposite direction making sure you do this real carefully and you will see that it should straighten out. When you've done this put it under some heavy books making sure you keep it absolutely flat till the next day then when its well and truly cooled down get it out and refit all your hardware and assemble, hopefully this will 99.9% do the trick as it has worked for me in the past.
