Regular guitar polish or lemon oil.

The unfinished maple necks shouldn't have guitar polish applied to them. However you can do that with a sealed maple neck. Lemon oil is effective and safe for use on that PC-1 neck, I've done it personally on mine. Like with all else, just don't overdo it.

The maple fingerboard on a PC1 is not sealed? I know the back of the neck is oiled, but why would anyone today have a raw maple board with no finish? Are you sure there's not a thin matte satin finish on the board?

            ENDUST

It has no wax, no residue, and it cleans them right up with a little elbow (or knuckle) grease and a clean rag. I use in on all my necks, including 5 unfinished maple.

AFAIK, they're finished with a thin matte clearcoat. I could be wrong.

AFAIK, the PC-1 USA necks are completely unsealed, both front and back. As a matter of fact, every USA Jackson maple neck guitar I own is unfinished both on the front and back. I am quite certain this is also true of the EVH Wolfgang all maple necks.

I think folks may be getting confused by the terms "unfinished" and "oiled" being used interchangably in the J/C community.

Unfinished = Oiled. PC1 necks are oiled.

Only the face of the headstock has a thin clearcoat. Basically, this is done to protect the logo.
