From an 88 Student Archtop..the J-95 has green, orange, and three white wires. J-50 has green, orange, brown, and two white wires. They're not added on, they're original. Need to re-wire this and cannot find these codes. THANKS!

Never in my years of C/J collecting have I seen any USA Jackson wound pickup with original brown or orange wires. Perhaps yours changed color over the years due to chemical or other means, I don't know. USA wires were: red and white was series link, hot was black, green and bare were ground. You could swap the black for green in phasing problems with other pickups, including Duncans."Got a crazy feeling I don't understand,

Well, here's a close-up of the J-95. The J-50 is identical except it has a lt. brown wire in place of one of the whites...
