  • Series Parallel or Split?

    I got a 250k DPDT push/pull pot.
Whats the diff in sound in
Series Parallel and just splitting a single hum?

    1- Hum (air norton)
    1- Volume push/pull

    It's for my Model 2.

    Thanks
    Finn

A typical humbucker is wired in series. Parallel is the two coils working together but a slightly thinner sound, still humbucking. Splitting is only having one coil of the humbucker working to give a single coil type of sound.

What toejam said. If I had to decide between two, I'd want the ability to make a humbucker a single.
