APC pickups

Hi everyone!

Has anyone any experience with the Adder Plus Persuader series pickups?

If anyone could compare them to the Bare Knuckle Miracle Man (clarity, tightness, punch, EQ) that would be veeery very useful.

Thank you very much really for the offer DR. But, I'm quite far away I guess....I live in Greece.

I asked because I'm thinking for an all maple custom Jackson soloist for the future and I'm searching about pickups that fit well in maple (and be tight under gain). Bare Knuckle recommended the Miracle Man and Adder Plus recommended the Persuader Lead Custom. So it's like between these two.

Not interested in Duncan or DiMarzio as I tried a few of them and have some in my other guitars.

I want a strong low end (lows and low mids) to balance maple while remaining punchy, tight and clear under high gain. Not interested in clean or light overdrive.

I'll take you up on that! Searching for a pick-up for my Charvel Model 5 (Maple neck-thru/poplar winks/rosewood fretboard). Have tried Dimarzio Steve's Special and SD Full Shred, and neither fits the bill. Have an EMG 81 on the way to try. Would be interesting to compare the 2...

Maybe you can tell the difference....

I know you can't really compare two pickups like that but maybe it's possible to catch some certain qualities of them from the clips.

To me the Miracle Man seems more rough (I liked it a lot) and deeper sounding (you know that hollow mids due to scatterwinding). The PLC is a lot smoother like a JB or something (taking in mind that is played through an Engl Screamer amp - quite aggresive) but way tighter than JB and a bit more flat compared to the Miracle Man. They both seem equally tight and clear (maybe the Miracle man a little clearer, but again it may be the different settings).

Currently I'm more towards the Miracle Man but who knows later........?

great pups. I had some in an SL2H and they are VERY powerful and full sounding. I highly recommend the Persuader and Malice.

I found a song of them and listened to it. Yeah, the guitar certainly has that punchy yet very smooth character to it like the clip above.
