Alright. Another EMG question. Upgrading my SLSMG to active EMGs. The cap soldered between the pots isn't long enough. Can I just solder the lead going to the volume pot to the back of the tone pot like with passives?

unsolder at one end, add a piece of wire to make cap longer, and voila.

for the record, im not sure this is totally "correct"...but it worked for me a while back.

      I would do what soc_monki said. It's a no-frills and easy solution.

yeah, that's what i was gonna do originally, i figured just wiring the cap to the back might be easier. thanks guys.

if you don't use your tone knob. just bypass it completely.
