I'm assuming the heel of this neck is not going to be shaped like the Model neck heel was? That does make it harder.

Anyway, I'd recommend getting a Quik-Grip clamp with rubber tips, clamp the neck onto the body, string the two Es only and use those as straight-edges, then drill the holes for the neck bolts while it's clamped in place.

Of course you first have to be sure it's going to fit the pocket and not slop around, and that it will match the intonation requirements of the original neck.

yeah i ordered the 2 1/4 heel and its going on a custom Vivian wayne body.
now should i drill the holes completely while its clamped and lined up or just start the holes, unclamp and finish the holes without the body present?
        thanks.

I'd drill them almost completely - leave maybe 1/8" for the screw to dig through.

Also make sure the bit you use is not the same width as the screw threads - use one that is slightly smaller. Hold the bit and the screw on top of each other and you should see the threads extending on either side of the bit. This allows the screws to bite into the wood.

I'd also use bolts that were snug in the neck pocket holes.

Out of curiousity, doesn't Musikraft drill standard Fender 4 bolt neck mounting holes, and isn't that the same as Jackson/Charvel?

I know the neck heel widths are different on Charvel and Fender, so wouldn't that maybe change the hole sets? I wouldn't take a chance.
