Duncan pickup ID.

I have a duncan pickup that has the old "S"logo on the bottom plate.But the sticker says DDG.What does the DDG stand for?I've seen a lot of older duncans but heve never seen a DDG model.Dick Dale is the only thing I can come up with.HELP!!
