• What would cause something like this ?

I took pictures because i'm not quite sure how to describe it. the low E string is too close to the edge of the fretboard towards the 22nd fret.

It's very wacky. The guitar came from canada, is the neck just warped in need of a set up ? or is it ruined ? or then again, is it the trem ?

Can someone give me some advice, and hopefully a way to fix this on my own ?

Excuse the dirtyness of the guitar, it is a project.

    Here are the pictures:

The bridge looks straight and the strings look allright over the pickups so that also rules out the bridge. There's only one thing left, That neck is not in the neck pocket straight! Is that the original neck for the body?

Yes it is actually. Let me snap a picture or two of the neck real quick.

        should be pretty simple...

loosen the bolts a bit, hold the guitar in the playing position, grab the headstock, and pull up toward the ceiling. it'll move a bit, and the strings should be more aligned the way they should be. hold it there, and tighten the bolts on the neck. that oughta do it for ya.

no problem...just make sure you loosen the bolts enough for it to move, but not enough for the bolts to come out, mmkay?

In the trem cavity, one of the screws seems to be drilled at an angle or something, but basically, I can't screw either of them in any more to tighten the tension, which meens with a .10 -.52 I can't keep the guitar in standard tuning. (which is actually fine, because I wanted D tuning) but something I wanted to fix anyways.

Then I will be trying my hand at pickup installation.

If the claw is in all the way then heavier springs sound like the answer. How many springs do you have in there now?

Yep, I know I could add springs, I was just looking for a work arround so I wouldn't have to go out and get a spring.

Nice Ibanez you got there. Those aren't the original knobs though. You need to get some black knurled metal dome knobs for it. You need some spare trem springs. I have hundreds of them. I'll mail you one if you like.
