• replacing latch on a case..

Hi,

I have a Case with a bust latch. The replacement latch came with what I assume are rivets. How do I get the old latch off? What tool do I need to attach the new latch?

Thanks,

Rich

Pry it off or use a dremel tool to drill out the rivets or grind off the rivet head(thats how I do it)you will need a rivet gun and new rivets.Wal -Mart has inexpensive rivet guns.
Really? well screw Mark Twain.

If I remember correctly, they are called "pop rivets" and if the hole is already there, you just insert the large end in the whole (it's not what you think...pervs) and use the rivet gun to pull the long thin end out. It pulls a ball into the wide end and bulges out the round part and then pops off. They are actually kind of fun to use because you get to break stuff in order to fix stuff. They hold really tight too.
