  • Fretting out on the 16th-20th frets(Performer)

The issue is on the high E string 16th-20th frets, fret out when doing a bend. I can can do a small bend but a larger bend(2frets) it frets out.

I recently loosened the rod to clean up a first fret buzz problem and the action is great now. Just this fretting out problem.

Hope I am using the correct terms. Not sure if I need to tighten the rod up a little or if I should just be happy the way it is because it's a cheap guitar.

    Thanks!!

phew....i saw this thread and feared that our mutual green friend was giving you a hassle. your action may be a tad too low for the fret job it currently has. if you raise the treble side a bit, it may take care of the problem. if the neck is adjusted properly now, it may need a little bit of fretwork.

Nope this is my import Dweezilish Import I just picked up. Can figure out how to post a pic or I would. I will give this a shot. Seems the easiest so far. I just don't want to kill the action. THanks...
