  • How do you stiffen up the trem bar?

Just wondering how I can make my trem bar stay in the same position...in other words I don't like it to be loose and just flopping around. I have this problem on my Model 2 and Ibanez RG 570. They are both the same type of "push-in" style trem not like the DK2 trem which has a threaded portion. Can you replace the small o-ring style bushing on them to make them tighter????

    Yep... get some new O-rings.
It won't be totally stiff, but I replaced the entire arm on my 560 a year ago and it's still difficult to move around.
That is the draw back to push-in trem arms though. You'll never get them to totally stay put.

... but you can install a collared bar on a "push-in" style baseplate if the hole is wide enough.. if not, time for some drilling

On a JT-6 maybe... not on a Edge trem though... base is too thick.
