  • Anyone been able to fit two 9V batteries in a KE3?

I'm going to get the 18V EMG mod done to my KE3, but I need to know if there's room for two 9V batteries in here. Thanks a lot!

PS: The battery clip is really THAT big, it's just closer to the camera... optical illusion

    Thanks!

Well how deep is the cavity? Its may possible if it is deep enough., but from the angle it doesnt look it.

Yea, the angle doesn't show the depth, I'll measure.... *measuring*..... around 2.75CM/ 1.08 inches deep.

I really dont think thats possible then. I would try just settign 2 9 volts in there and seeing if you can get it closed.

Maybe if you jammed one in tight next to the knob and turned the toggle sideways you could fit them end-to-end, but that'll mess up the direction of your switch if you're not used to it.

Yea, that would work for sure. I'm really liking the toggle position.

They fit and I can close it, but it's REALLY REALLY tight. It's hard to tell if it'll really fit with the new battery clip and all...

if it doesnt fit with the new battery clip, and you can live with such a ghetto mod, just duct tape over the cavity

I was actually considering that . Won't it screw up the finish though?

I dont know to be sure, but it would probably leave a residue that would be nigh impossible to get off.

yea, I'm relying on this guitar to be in great condition when my buddy dumps 1100$ to buy it. So I can get my KE2 ^^
