  • JT-390 bushings.

I'm about to attempt to pull the ToM bushings out of a Jackson JS-series body. I'm just wondering if anyone here has any idea of what thread the JT390 use. Unfortunately I don't have the bridge posts.

Btw, are the bushings are splined? ...i.e, can I just pull them straight out, or is that more to this operation?

Update: I took the guitar body to the hardware store after work, and managed to find a screw that fit the bushings. Seems they have an M8 thread, or something very similar. Haven't attempted pulling them yet though.

So, has anyone extracted these bushings before? I hope they're not threaded into the wood...

The thread is an M8 X 1.25 and no, these aren't threaded into the body. They are splined so make sure you pull them straight out.
