  • Jb jr?

Has anybody tried to put a JB jr in the neck-position? I've found one for sale and I'm just wondering if it's worth the hassle to put it in my model 3..

    Thanks!

All I can say is Death's guitar player Shannon Hamm is using one on his Sl1 in both the mid and neck positions and his tone is kickass!

      I'm not sure if it's a neck or bridge-version though..Does that matter a lot?
Bridge-pu's are usually a bit brighter and with higher output, right?

Would it sound crappy with a bridge in the neck, so to speak?

I got two in my Fusion Pro with a Custom 5 in the Bridge. I have a bridge in the neck position and it sounds great. I also got 250k pots which takes a little of the edge of. Thick, ballsy tone!!

Yes and imo yes. A bridge can sound a bit muddy in the neck imo. Haven't tried though...
