JE1200 pot question > cleaning.

my eldest son just picked up an '87 jackson strat with what appears to be a JE-1200 midboost in it.
said pots were scratchey , so he sprayed them with LPS contact cleaner...

he says the pots are now difficult to turn.
I know this topic has been covered here before , but I dont recall what the solution was to mke them freespin again, or if thats permanent damage,,I am not into the active stuff so its out of my area of knowledge...

You need to get contact cleaner with lubricant.
PRF and CRC have those.

I did the same with a 1977 Les Paul that was in Hawaii for years. Th pots freed up after turning them quite a few times.
