    i bought 2 active emg pickups from a friend yesterday (pretty cheap), need to install it on my rhoads..i've check the wiring on emg's site but it didn't have any circuit like rhoads....2 humbucker pickups, 1 pot volume and a 3 way selector switch...any idea??

      Diagrams 3 and 4 show 2 hum w/volume and tone and two types of 3 way switches. I assume you don't want the tone, so just eliminate it by making the solid black wire shown form the middle point of the jack going straight to the grounded 3rd lug of the volume pot.

      Hopefully your friend gave you the 25k ohm Volume pot and the stereo jack you need to use with the EMGs.

          Yep, you will need the 25K Volume Pot for sure!

                If you are speaking of the stock Rhoads (non-active) pickup setup, you have a 500k volume pot. Along way from the 25K needed for the EMG's.

                  You can use the stock 500k vol pot, but it will not work properly. It will work more like an on/off switch, and the pickups will be much louder than normal.
