  • New Ibanez collection for 2007 !!! PICS

My buddy just sent me the links over :

here's the discussion about those on the jemsite :

    http://www.jemsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56388

Now i'd like to point out the best and the worst

There are two winners this year :

    the NEW MICK THOMPSON SIG

    http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_mtm2_bk.htm

Damn cheap, knowing the price differences it'd be like 500$ in the states - not bad , fixed bridge , no inlays , bound neck , mahogany body ...

and the Rg 2610 which we talked about in a separate thread

    http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_rg2610e_bk.htm

    Ibanez Warrior :

    http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_xpt700_rch.htm

altough not really superb looking but neck through ... could be nice

    Losers :

    http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_add120_mg.htm

am i the only one that finds it FUGLY ?

    8 string :

    http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_rg2228_gk.htm

with this pricetag and no huge name's/brands pushing the sales 'cept for meshuggah i doubt it'd sell very well.

    Korn 7 :
    http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_apex1_bbk.htm

and I disliked the old one ... the old model compared to this one had CLASS

PS. mods sorry for posting a link to one of our euro distributors but i don't have any connection with them - just wanted to provide better pics than those on jemsite ( click the pics btw )

The Mick Thompson sig does nothing for me. The RG2610 has me drooling, but what the hell makes it so expensive? I'd love to see a cheaper one. The Warrior one looks like their old Axstar in a way. The next one looks like the ugly love child of a Firebird and an Iceman. That 8 string looks like the neck is as big as a 6 string bass, and is ugly to boot. The new KoRn sig is also ugly. The first one at least looked decent but wasn't my thing.

        Some of my thoughts..

        1. The sevenstring S serie is back!!! That rules.
        2. The new Korn is ugly, hopefully the old models will go cheaper from now one.
        3. the 8 string is interesting.. I don't think it'll sell, but I'd love to try one

none of them really do much for me, except the 8 string has me really interested just because of the novelty factor.

take a look at the jemsite pics and take time to go through a couple of pages of this thread.

Noone commented the Ibanez V's yet

The Warrior looking one is the Trey Azagatoth signature I believe.

                Sure about that ?

i know that this guy from Necrophagist is going to play them - last time i saw Trey he was using his old Ironbird and new WRXT

Where did you hear the rumours?

Muhammed from Necrophagist designed the guitar for Ibanez. So no, it's not a Trey signature. I'm already saving up for one, I think it looks awesome

My mistake it is Muhammed. I glanced this pic and mistook it for Trey who also plays warrior shape guitars.

                      i think it's a sorry excuse for a warrior...

                      oh about the V's
the shape looks GREAT! no, realy! it just needs that ibanez 3+3 headstock, better fretboard wood and a trem (or maybe kahler ) but the shape alone is great

They should make more black guitars with basswood bodies and rosewood fretboards. :/

And somehow that 8-string looks totally retarded.

That 8 string looks sweet. I definitely wouldn't spend $3000 plus on one of those, but I would love to mess around on one!

yup - that's why i'm liking the Thompson aswell - 500 eur is cheap for Europe for a (should be ) good fixed bridge guitar - and the looks are acceptable now.

I think that the price in the US will be more like 1500$ because it seems like the prices in US and Europe are the same - only we change the Dollar Signs for Euro signs but the amount stays the same
