    1. A friend of mine was raving about "Big Bends Nut Sauce", how well the guitar stayed in tune (LP), tuning it up was nice and smooth with no big jumps in pitch, so I was at a Daddy's anyway so I figured I'd ask if they had any, they guy there I've been dealing with there a lot said don't bother, just take a pencil and rub some of the lead in the string slots and you'll get the same result... Does this sound correct?

    2. I wired a Fishman Powerbridge into my LP and it's been working just as I wanted until the other day the piezo wasn't working, so I figured it was the battery, so I switched it out, still the same result. I tapped the piezo in the middle position, like you would magnetic PUs to see if there are working, and it is, but in the up postion (just piezo) it dead, is it the toggle switch, or a Fishman problem?

Can't answer your second question but, I have heard the same thing about the using lead from a pencil to "grease" up string slots. I also heard somewhere that you can use chapstick as well....

If you have a bone nut that is slotted properly, you won't need any of that crap.

Thanks for the input on the nut sauce.

Anyone with an idea of what the issue might be with the fishman?
I've checked all the wireing and everything seems secure.

Pencil leads are made of graphite, so yeah that'd work......if you've got a pack of pencils laying around.

And while the correctly-slotted bone nut advice is true, it's not likely to be the case.

If you're having trouble with a sticky LP nut, replace it with graphite.

As for the piezo - check the switch itself, you may have a bent prong where the actual switch pole pushes the two contact plates together. Try reversing the wires of the switch (Treble for the piezo) and see if that reverses the problem (humbuckers cut out).
