  • Noise coming from volume pots

recently I started getting some weird noises when plugged my guitar, so I openend the back plate and just moved the volume pot, the wires and the noise either amplified or reduced pending how it was placed.

So I don't know how to get rid of this problem, am I just better bringing my guitar to a tech ? if so how much time does it take to fix that problem usually ? or is there anything I can do to fix it ?

You just need to replace a potenciometer. It's not that hard to do if you have basic soldering skills. Doesn't take much time either.

Check the solder connections you may have a loose ground wire coming from the input jack to the vol pot.
      Really? well screw Mark Twain.

thanks, ok that's the problem ... I don't know how I didn't see this at first but there's a wire that should be connected to the jack that got loose.
