  • Non-Recessed Floyded Guitars

And yet another stupid question! Are guitars that are equipped with non-recessed Floyds routed at all? I got my on one that I'd like to slap a kahler on! Let me know if this is possible! Thanks guys!

Yes... the back is still routed out for the springs.

+1. You would probably be better off modifying a string-thru guitar.

On a similar note; If you are after a Jackson with a Kahler, you may want to look into "Jackson Stars" - the domestic MIJ Jacksons.

Some Jackson Stars models come with Kahlers as a standard option, far from CS pricing. But maybe you could come across an SD era Jackson for cheaper(?).

No I don't have any guitar that I"m gonna hack up! All I got right now is a SD Rhoads that I'm working on , and it's already Kahlered! I'm not into bolt-ons much so that's outta the question. But I did have my eye on a non-recessed Floyded Soloist that I'm not gonna get now after the info you guys helped me with! I have found a few Dave Mustaine V's that are Kahlered though! Not very familar with Jackson Stars though! Where do I find them?? Thanks again guys!

The Dave Mustaine Vs are fixed bridge Kahlers, though.

So does that mean they are not routed??
