  • Which Floyd is this?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ADME:B:EF:US:1

The stamped name is "Floyd Rose", but does not have "Original". Made in Germany. On the block is stamped "42". OFR or Floyd Pro?

The earlier OFR's only say "Floyd Rose" on the face of the base plate.
The one pictured looks like an OFR, but i can't say for sure, due to the bad pic. I think i see long locking bolts sticking out the back, so that would also indicate OFR. The shape of the base plate looks a little "wrong" in my book. Here's two true Floyd Rose trems:

I didn't realize that the string locking bolts were right behind the clamps on the "Pro". The one I asked about definitely has them behind the whale tail...OFR

      Thanks for your help.

As far as I know new ones only have "Floyd Rose" I have several NIB that are like that plus my Charvel EVH and Dweezil only say "Floyd Rose" too.

slash, the "Floyd Rose" stamped chrome floyd pictured above is mine from a 1986 Kramer, and i too have seen newer OFR's stamped "Floyd Rose" also, so it's a bit of a mess. The black one with the additional "original" above is also mine - from a 1997 RR1.
