  • Wood Tone Question...

Not sure if this is the right section, but I couldn't find anywhere else that looked appropriate.

How would a maple body guitar w/ bolt-on maple neck sound tone wise? If somebody could compare to other woods like alder, mahagony, etc., that would be great.

If this has been addressed before, I apologize and please point me to the relevant post. Thanks.

Maple body maple neck think George Lynch (dokken)
All the other woods do have a tone all their own.Alder, basswood, poplar are all similar in tone.Mahogony has a darker tone lighter tone with a maple cap.Maple is a very dense wood so it has a brighter tone.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.
