Shaving a neck

OK i have a warmoth guitar that sounds great, only problem is the neck is a a little thick for me. What is the best way to shave it down, do they make specific tools for it?

I like 180 grit sandpaper on a hard sanding block until you get the thickness pretty close to what you want. Then follow that up with 320 to get rid of the sanding scratches, then finish it with steel wool. If you have a dial caliper, it'll make it easier if you're trying to duplicate another neck profile. I usually do the thickness first, then work on the "roundness".
