  • slsmg passive to active?

I ordered a EMG 81/89 today for my slsmg to replace the HZ's that were in it. This particular jackson guitar has a flushmount jack on it. Does anyone know if I can wire the battery terminal from the active to the existing jack or will I have to find a custom one somewhere? thanks in advance

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean by 'flushmount jack'...doesn't it have the same style input jack as all dinky/soloists? DK1, SL2H, etc.

the EMG kit includes a replacement stereo jack which you can mount to the guitar's original jack plate, i.e. "bolt-on" replacement of the SLSMG input jack...

you'd have to see it. it's really smooth looking. no plate on the outside at all. it's just a 1/4" jack about the size and shape of a AA battery and bolts on from the inside. Anyways, I've got it figured out, I'll have to replace with a stereo jack 'cause mine's mono. they're pretty cheap though. Thanks RobRR for the info.
