  • SC in model 6

I am confused about the SC in the neckposition of the model 6. Is it a single coil, or a humbucker. I read it is a stacked humbucker, but what does that exactly means? something like 2 SC basicly glued on top of each other or something like that, so it is a dualcoil humbucker, although we see a SC?

Both single coils in the Model 6 are stacked humbuckers. Meaning two coils stacked on top of the other wired in series instead of next to each other like a typical humbucker. The way they keep the single coil tone is only one set of poles running thru the depth of both coils. Keeping the magnetic feild focused on one set of poles. Plus less windings on the coils like a typicalsingle coil.
    Or something like that.

Yep, J200 stacked humbuckers. The true single coil Jackson pups are the J100 with exposed pole pieces.
