• Model Series ID Help

Hey guys. I just bought a "Model" series guitar with two Humbuckers, bolt on neck, and Floyd/Jackson bridge. Anyone know what the designation is??? Thanks.

hmm, sounds like a rare one or modified one to me, but I am no expert.

can you give some more information like inlays, number of frets, logo (original or toothpaste, that is charvel written with a font resembling the "jackson" font), binding, pickguard, colour, toggleswitch, serial number.... .
I think there are enough experts around over here that can exactly tell you what guitar it is, what year it was made etc (I am not (yet) one of them)

a pic would do even better.

It has the guitar logo and two Jackson pickups. Definitely a "model" series/pre-tootpaste logo guitar. Also has dot inlays and a strat type 5 way switch.

I believe that's a Model 3a. What is the number on the back of the neckplate?

A model 3A is right... I just got mine and I had to replace the neck (damaged in shipping) with a Maple/Maple neck... It's awesome!!
