• Help Identifying My Charvel

Hi guys, I'm new here. I'm hoping somebody here can help me out. I'm trying to identify an old Charvel guitar I own. It is a bolt on and the serial on the neck plate says 269862.
It also says
P.O. Box 2344
Fort Worth TX
76113 U.S.A.

I checked the Jackson/Charvel site for the serial but could not find it. Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanx!

Import, Charvel Model 4... Late 80's. I can't remember the years, but I believe 88 is close to the mark.

I believe the bodies of the model series are Basswood. But i've been wrong before.
But yeah Tekky had it about right with the '88.

I thought most of the Model series were poplar. Though, I remember hearing a couple were basswood, not sure which ones offhand.
