  • Help me decide which one to paint...

    Man,
I've been wanting a holoflash finish on a guitar for years, but found this "Crushed Pearls" finish that I really would like better I think.
    <Here's a pic of it: http://jimosity.tzo.com/images/crushedpearls.jpg

    My dilemma is this:
I have several guitars, most of which have cool finishes or paint jobs anyways...
Maybe you guys can help me decide which guitar I should get this finish on.
My first choice is my black Charvel 750XL, since it's my main stage guitar -- then again... I'm not sure I want to mess with the finish on that one since it's my favorite guitar.

Check out my web site and give me your thoughts on which one I should get that finish on...
I'm leaning towards either the green Charvel Fusion Deluxe or the Blue Ibanez RG565...

Here's my website with pics of all my guitars.

Jim, nice collection, funny I have a KamiIV, a blue RG565 and a Kantana also!

I'd paint the green charvel, partly as the chrome floyd would go better with the 'crushed pearls' finish. Plus, isn't the headstock on the RG565 blue like the body and frets (I haven't pulled mine out for a white!)?

Yeah, that was one reason I didn't want to do the 565, but I would probably have them paint the headstock as well (I have a new Ibanez logo to go back on).

Would you be interested in selling your 565?

Gonna hang on to the 565. Took a while to find one since they only made them one year, plus I prefer reverse headstocks and maple fingerboards, and that's real hard to find in the Ibanez line!

do they offer this for a neck thru? I'd go with a bolt on, far easier to work on.
