• Journeyman in action

Went to a jam on Sunday and gave the new Charvel a run out:

Guess I'm not in Jackson's typical target demographic huh?

How do you like the new Journeyman? I just bought one and I'm patiently waiting for it to be delivered.

              Re: Journeyman in action

The Journeyman is a ripper! I had a choice between the one i have and a Standard. The Standard sounded tonally dead by comparison.

The whammy required some adjustment to get it working without tuning dificulties: I had to raise the E&B string retainer by about 1/8" and lube the nut slots. That retainer is in the wrong place. It should be fitted further away from the nut. A graphite nut would be a welcome addition as well...

Anyhow, those quibbles aside it stands proud as a real no nonsense rock guitar. I had my Laney VC30 cranked and glowing as well, which helps!
